| 「私はあなたがたを遣わす」（マタイ10．16） 堺ブロックチーム ジャンマリー神父 私は2014年9月18日に来日しました。今月で、日本に来てから10年になります。カメルーンにいた時、神(しん)学校(がっこう)の卒業前に、淳(じゅん)心会(しんかい)の総長(そうちょう)から任命(にんめい)を受けました。宣教師(せんきょうし)として日本に派遣(はけん)されました。神学生の頃、これからの宣教(せんきょう)活動(かつどう)について考えた時、イエスの言葉が心に響(ひび)きました。その言葉は「私はあなたがたを遣(つか)わす。それは、狼(おおかみ)の群(む)れに羊(ひつじ)を送り込むようなものだ。だから、蛇(へび)のように賢(かし)く、鳩(はと)のように素直(すなお)になりなさい。また、私の名のために、あなたがたはすべての人に憎(にく)まれる。しかし、最後(さいご)まで耐(た)え忍(しのぶ)ぶ者は救(すく)われる」（マタイ10．16、2２)。 使徒たちを宣教に遣わす際(さい)のイエスの言葉は、その宣教が容易(ようい)ではないことを思い起こさせます。イエスが現代の人々の邪悪(じゃあく)さ、この世の憎しみ、嫉妬(しっと)、誹謗(ひぼう)中傷(ちゅうしょう)や迫害(はくがい)に直(ちょく)面(めん)するということを弟子たちに告(つ)げ知らせておられます。 福音の喜びを宣(の)べ伝えるために多くの宣教師が日本に遣わされました。私もこのような宣教師の一員であることを誇(ほこ)りに思います。出会(であ)うすべての人々に福音の喜びを伝えることが私に与えられた任務(にんむ)です。「全世界(ぜんせかい)に行って、すべての造(つく)られたものに福音を宣べ伝えなさい。」（マルコ16．15）。これこそが私の使命(しめい)であり、この使命を喜びをもって果(は)たすことであると信じています。 神学校卒業後(そつぎょうご)、私は日本に何を持って行くべきかと考えていた時に、次のイエスの言葉を思い起こしました。「帯(おび)の中に金貨(きんか)も銀貨(ぎんか)も銅貨(どうか)も入れて行ってはならない。旅(たび)には袋(ふくろ)も二枚の下着も、履物(はきもの)も杖(つえ)も持って行ってはならない。働(はたら)く者が食べ物を受(う)けるのは当然(とうぜん)である。」（マタイ10．9-10）。現代の私たち宣教者にもこのイエスの言葉が向けられています。イエスが弟子たちに与えられた教示(きょうじ)は、神の国を宣べ伝えるのに集中(しゅうちゅう)しなければならないということです。宣教活動において福音の喜びを伝えること、これは一番(いちばん)大切(たいせつ)で不可欠(ふかけつ)なことです。これは私がこの10年間、伝えようとしていたことです。 「私が福音を告げ知らせても、それは私の誇(ほこ)りにはなりません。そうせずにはいられないことだからです。福音を告(つ)げ知(し)らせないなら、私は不幸(ふこう)なのです。」 （一コリント9．16）。 “I am sending you out” (Mt 10: 16) I arrived in Japan on September 18th, 2014. This month, it’s been 10 years since I arrived in this country. Before the end of my theology studies in Cameroon, I received my appointment from the CICM General Superior. I was sent to Japan as a missionary. As a student in Theology, I was reflecting on the mission of evangelization. I meditated upon Jesus’ words that remain printed in my heart. Jesus, by sending the Twelve on mission, says to them “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Mt 10: 16,22). In sending the Apostles on mission, Jesus tells them in advance that the mission is not easy. The disciples will face cruelty, hatred, jealousy, calumny, slander and persecution. These are realities that the missionary may expect to face. Nowadays, these words of Jesus are still relevant. Many missionaries have been sent to Japan to bring the Joy of the Gospel. I am proud to be among missionaries sent to spread the Good News. I feel the need to announce the Gospel to everyone I meet. “Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind.” (Mk 16:15). This is the mission I continue to accomplish with joy despite the difficulties that are part of missionary life. After my studies in Cameroon and before coming to Japan, I always asked myself the question, what can I bring to people?” Then, I thought of these words of Jesus, who says, “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts; no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.” (Mt 10:9-10). These words are also addressed to us missionaries. Through these instructions, Jesus wishes to tell his disciples that the priority is to announce the Kingdom of God. Being agents of evangelization, all the members of the People of God are called to spread the Joy of the Gospel. This is what I have been trying to do in these 10 years of missionary life in Japan. “For when I preach the Gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach.
